"You realize we're letting the person with magenta hair pick out my dress." - Langley

The Story

I am often at a loss to describe Langley's Ark. It started in '04 as a poorly concieved story I scrapped and left scrapped for a couple years until my subconcious picked it up again. I literally dreamed up the revised characters and world and couldn't stop thinking about it. That was when I decided to go ahead and put it in written form. It first appeared on DeviantArt in '05 and has since moved to this webpage as well.

Langley's Ark follows the adventures of twin 'mancers Langley and Sabreur Stormrider as they bounce around their world and generally find trouble. There is a wide cast of characters with strange backgrounds, quirks, and anything else that I find amusing at the moment. The world itself is best described as fantasy meeting mad science with a bit of steam punk thrown in just for kicks.

Contact

I'm an introvert and I hate people. No, that's not really true. However, to protect my poor poor e-mail though I'm a teensy bit reluctant to give out my e-mail address. And I dislike holding down instant messaging conversations. So, in order to contact me you can use two things! First is the Guestbook! This is a nifty tool and even allows you to upload pictures so if you want to drop off some artwork or something it's quick and easy. If you do decide to drop off art make sure you include instructions on how to credit you for the gallery. The second way to chat is in the Forum. So there you go.

The Author

Name: Kelsey Shannahan
Alias: Kiddo
Past Aliases: child_dragon

I consider myself a jack of all trades but master of none. I have a very wide variety of hobbies which include writing, drawing, music (flute, Irish lap harp, and some French horn), some sewing, painting medieval illuminated manuscripts, programming, and swordfighting to name a few. I'm part of an organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism in the Middle Kingdom, for those that know what it is. I'm very interested in all sorts of folklore and even tell fairytales at SCA events as a bardic persona. I've been reading fantasy nearly my entire life and tried taking some creative writing classes in college only to find out that real authors don't write fantasy. So I stopped taking creative writing classes and started this story. I enjoy interesting characters above all and try to make my own unique, funny, and intriguing. I also throw in a dash of pyromania and the mandatory good-looking long-haired male.
